Viewbar : This is a small bar that sites on the bottom or top of your screen whilst you are online. Generally it shows two sets of advertisements, one small and one large. It is through this bar that the company keeps track of how many hours you are online.

Reading E-mail : Companies that advertise with the programs also make small e-mails that describe what they offer and a link to their site. This mail is never sent unsolicited.

Referrals : These are people that you have told to join the program. The new member types in your membership ID when they sign up which states that they were referred by you. This can also be done automatically with the use of special scripts which the companies have in place. This is what makes you the most money.
